Eine postpsychotische Depression kann auch lange andauern. Sie ist aber im allgemeinen besser behandelbar als das schizophrene Residuum. Das ist auch der große Unterschied: eine postpsychotische Depression schlägt gut auf Antidepressiva an. Beim schizophrenen Residuum helfen die Antidepressiva zumeist auch nicht viel.
